Free online games will the bubble burst

Online games are a new rage on the Internet. Everybody believes that there is a lot to be earned with online games. I wonder how? You develop games, or license them create a website and try to make it popular amongst millions of others. Lot of money and effort is needed to get noticed on the Internet. And after all that you offer free games. Where is the money?

Online games and advertisements - Look at this scenario. A player has arrived to your website. He/she has downloaded a game and begun playing it. Some advertisement banners are running around. Do you expect the player to click on the advertisements or play the games for winning?

Obviously the players are focused on the game and are totally unaware about the rest of the web page. I do not believe they will click on the advertisements. If they do that, it means that your games are not good enough. The other method of getting revenue is subscription based website. With so much of free stuff floating around, why should I visit your paid site, pay you and play? Why should I not save money by searching for free games?

Internet is very deceptive in some ways. Most of the people believe that if one subject is very popular there is lot of money in that. But this just is not true. Money does not come from popularity of the subject. For getting, money, you have to make people pay. for that your content has to be extremely unique, your advertising expense huge and your running cost quite big. If after that you make money, you should consider yourself lucky.

Call center outsourcing

Call Center Outsourcing: Finding the Right Outsourcing Company

Have you ever tried calling a help desk? If you did, you may think that the help desk is located within the company’s building. However, because of the availability of high-speed internet access, chances are, you are probably calling a call center building located half way around the world.

A call center is a kind of outsourcing company that companies in the United States are hiring in order to save a lot of money. It is a fact that setting up an in-house call center can prove to be costly. However, you will need to set up a call center in order for your clients to reach your company regarding their inquiries and complaints. If you don’t have a call center, your company will find it hard to communicate with your clients.

Therefore, outsourcing a call center is the answer to your problems. Because of the advancement in the internet, it is now possible for companies to hire call center companies or outsourcing companies outside the country. Companies do this in order to communicate with their clients more efficiently.

Outsourced call centers are cheaper in developing countries because the labor is relatively cheap compared to developed countries. There are also plentyl skilled workers in developing countries with limited jobs. So, call centers are one of the best choices for professionals in other countries. This particular job is preferred by a lot of people in other countries because of the high amount of salary which is above their minimum wage.

However, before you hire an outsourced call center for your company, you should first consider the fact that not all call centers are equal in terms of quality and the amount of money they charge. Here are some of the things you should look for in order to get your money’s worth:

• Amount of calls answered – A good call center should be able to handle large amounts of calls in a single day. Ask the call center on how many average calls they can handle in a single day.

• Average call waiting time – Find out about the average waiting time before a client can be connected to a call center agent. The shorter time they wait the better.

• Average call time – It is also important to find out about the average time a call center agent spends in a single caller. It is important to keep the calls as short as possible in order to entertain more clients.

• Professionalism of call center agents – Try calling the call center and find out if the call center agents they hire is competent enough when handling calls. Call centers are subjected to frustrated callers and agents are prone to be emotionally and physically stressed out. You should find out how call center agents handle the calls and if the information they give you is sufficient and effective. Language skills should also be considered in a call center agent. If they are unable to speak straight, then that call center is considered as incompetent.

These are the things that you should find out about a particular call center. Once you hired an outsourced call center, you should frequently make calls in order to find out if they are indeed doing their job. Outsourced call centers is a great way to save money. If you need a call center for inbound and outbound calls, outsourcing it is a great solution in order to save a lot of money.

History of ballroom dancing

History of Ballroom Dancing

Until recently, most people haven't thought much of ballroom dancing. It has become a popular worldwide pastime, thanks to the media bringing it back into the spotlight with shows like "Dancing with the Stars." It wasn't long after the first season that the dance craze soon swept over America, with more and more people choosing to learn to dance. However, ballroom dancing is certainly nothing new and has quite an extensive background.

Let's start by discussing the meaning behind the world "ballroom". In simple theory, it means a place where balls may be held. The English language adopted this term from the Latin word "ballare", meaning "to dance". Ironically, this also serves as a base for words like "ballerina" and "ballad". Ballrooms were a very popular source of entertainment before the days of cable television, internet, or satellite radio. Often couples would congregate here to socialize and dance with other couples, and it wasn't long before dance competitions gained popularity.

There are many different dances and versions of ballroom dancing. Each of these unique dances has specific steps and characteristics that make it different from other dances - but there is one aspect that remains constant throughout each style of dancing. No matter what dance style is being performed, you can bet they are being performed by a couple. Every ballroom dance involves a man and a woman, usually remaining in contact throughout the entire routine (although there are some ballroom dances where contact is broken, but the couple reunites by the dance's end). As common as it seems, this style of dancing was developed in Western Europe in the early 1600's. Dances were often held the evening prior to men going off to battle, as a way for the men to go off to war in good spirits.

Men often wore their swords while dancing with a woman and it is believed that this led to a woman placing her left hand on her partner's right shoulder, while grasping his left hand for additional balance. This is also where the concept of men leading on the dance floor was developed.

As time passed throughout the centuries, many styles of ballroom dancing were born. Each particular dance has its own history, but the Waltz and Foxtrot were the first to gain popularity in the realm of ballroom dancing. Dancing soon became a growing trend in several countries, and other styles of ballroom dancing were formed based on the various cultures. For example, the paso doble was developed in Spain in the 1700's to demonstrate bullfighter's agility and strength. In Italy, the mambo became a popular dance at weddings and special events, while the quickstep became the trend in America after World War I.

By the 1970's, all of these different dances had made their way to America's ballrooms and dance competitions soon became popular. Today, ballroom dancing is the number one form of dance among adults and is widely covered by the media. It is also now being offered as an alternative to physical education to high school and college students - a good indicator that ballroom dancing will remain a favorite activity for years to come.

The waterfalls, tribal settlements and mountain peaks, increase the glory of the park.

Wisps and bandwidth management

Most Internet service providers have a bandwidth limit. Even if they advertise unlimited Internet, there is usually some level of transfer that will red flag in their system and cause them to take action. This is usually in the form of calling you to up-sell their service or, in extreme situations, cutting off your service.

Most people will never run into this problem. ISPs can advertise unlimited data because the soft cap (this is the bandwidth limit) is so ridiculously high that a user would have to try pretty hard to hit it. Most users can go about their business without ever coming even remotely close to the limit.

So why impose limits? From a consumer standpoint, many feel cheated by the fact that they are not really getting unlimited service when they’re paying for Ёunlimited service. Ё But this is more to protect an ISP or WISPs customer base than anything else, after all - they don’t make more money by cutting off people’s service.

How does a bandwidth cap improve customer experience? The simple answer is that ISPs can ensure that they do not oversell their bandwidth.

So what’s the big deal with bandwidth getting oversold? As an ISP or WISP operator, you want to ensure that you are providing good service for your customers. Unfortunately your pipe is only so big, so it has to be shared between your customers. Giving one customer access to the whole pipe means that he could use all the bandwidth available and leave all the other customers with slow or no service.

So you give each customer a fraction of the pipe. Bandwidth is sold by calculating the average load per customer so you can sell to the most customers while still providing good service. If all those customers get on and try to download a bunch of data at the same exact time, you will run into problems because the bandwidth is sold to accommodate average usage.

So if one customer is maxing out his portion of the pipe most of the time by downloading huge amounts of data, it is more likely that other customers are going to run into problems. The line needs to be shared, and one person hogging up the line is going to cause unhappy customers and possibly people dropping their service. It is better to cut off the Ёtrouble makerЁ and keep your customers who aren’t causing problems.

With properly allocated bandwidth resources, you should never be running into problems. Everyone will have great service and will be happy.

Sometimes an ISP or WISP will want to sell service plans by bandwidth. This is different from unlimited plans because instead of a soft cap you have a hard cap. This may be set anywhere from a couple gigabytes a month an up, depending on several factors like the size of the service provider’s pipe. When a customer reaches their limit - say 2GB - their service is simply cut off, or they are redirected to a page telling them they need to upgrade their plan. This is the best solution for Wireless ISPs who don’t necessarily have the capacity to give unlimited transfer to everyone on their network.

Sometime these hard-cap plans are better for consumers because they know exactly what to expect. Having an unlimited plan cut off from over usage can come as a surprise to a customer, but if you have a 2GB plan and you’re cut off after 2GB, you won’t be surprised at all.

These plans are also better for environments where your average user is a light to medium Internet user. Someone who checks their email every day, browses around for a few hours a week, and doesn’t download a lot of media will probably be fine with a plan that gives them a couple of gigabytes.

Bandwidth limits help to ensure high quality service on a shared line. If you are an extremely heavy user, you should expect to pay more for your service - after all - you’re using more than most people on the network.

Why a home equity loan could be your answer to debt consolidation

For most people getting a home equity loan means taking risks and dealing with unscrupulous lenders. However once you’re past all that you will realize that a home equity loan can actually be quite a blessing. The home equity loan can help you pay off debts as well as have some extra cash at hand!

Consolidation is now a possibility

With rising default rates and delinquencies, most people today are finding it increasingly difficult to manage their finances. From existing loans to credit cards to even medical expenses – the average cost of living seems to have skyrocketed in all quarters. That’s where a home equity loan can come to the rescue. Every month the prospect of having to pay multiple bills of varying amounts can be a huge difficulty. Not only is it difficult to keep track of all these bills and expenses, the cumulative costs can work out to be very high. With a home equity loan you can pay just a single bill every month. This will help you plan finances and get you more organized as well.

Reduced interest rates

Most of the time existing credit card debts, loan outstanding amounts and other liabilities can involve huge interest rates and high expenses. A home equity loan can actually provide a reduced interest rate. The best thing is you get the entire loan amount in a lump sum. This helps you pay for any expenses towards your liabilities. You also get some extra cash at hand.

Tax savings

A home equity loan has a tremendous benefit in that it provides for significant tax benefits. You get to deduct your interest amount if you have a home equity loan. This is if the home equity loan is being used for purposes like education, consolidation of debts or even for the improvement of the home etc. You can consult with a tax advisor to check the possibilities.

Customized loan

The best thing about a home equity loan is that you get to choose the type that suits your unique requirements. You can choose a home equity loan with a fixed or adjustable interest rate. The fixed rate will entail a designated monthly payment that does not vary with time. The adjustable rate will vary depending on market conditions. You can also have the option of getting an adjustable rate home equity loan with a rate cap that has been established beforehand.

Free up cash

With a reduced interest rate and longer payment period, a home equity loan can offer significant advantages. For example for starters, it frees up extra cash – so that you can utilize this amount for any home improvement modifications – like maybe doing up the kitchen, or getting new furniture etc. Suddenly getting a home equity loan seems rewarding because now you not only get to pay off all your debts, you also actually get some cash at hand to use for other important things!

What to look for in a full coverage car insurance quote in new jersey

Everyone who drives a motor vehicle on a public roadway in New Jersey must purchase - at a minimum - three types of automobile insurance.

All New Jersey drivers must have:

1.Liability Insurance: This insurance covers damage to other people's property, including vehicles, if you are in an accident. In New Jersey, Liability insurance does not cover medical expenses.

2.Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Insurance: This is the insurance that pays for medical claims by you or by anyone else involved in an accident that involves your vehicle. In New Jersey this is sometimes referred to as No-Fault insurance since this portion of your insurance pays for medical expenses regardless of whose fault the accident is eventually deemed to be.

3.Uninsured Motorist (UM) Insurance: This insurance pays for both medical claims as well as property damage if you are involved in an accident with someone who does not have any insurance or who does not have sufficient insurance to cover the claims resulting from an accident.

The basic minimum coverage in New Jersey is what is known as 15/30/5. What this means is that you are required to have Personal Injury Protection Insurance (PIP) that covers up to $15,000 of medical protection per individual with a cap of $30,000 of medical coverage per accident. You are also required to carry $5,000 of Liability Insurance to cover any property (including vehicles) that you might damage in an accident.

Under New Jersey state law you are not required to have any other coverage in order to drive a vehicle. However, if your car is being financed then your lender may very well require that you also purchase comprehensive coverage as well as collision coverage and that you buy considerably more than the state-required minimum for Liability, PIP and Uninsured Motorist.

Even if you own your car outright and are not required to purchase anything more than the bare state minimum for insurance you may very well choose to carry higher coverage. This is especially true for anyone who owns a home, has a savings account, or for anyone who has any other assets that they wish to protect.

Just one accident-spawned lawsuit could see your home taken from you, your bank account wiped out, and any and all other assets that you own turned over to the prevailing party. In other words, if you don't have sufficient automobile insurance coverage you could lose everything in an accident.

Once you (or your lender) have decided on the amount of your full coverage insurance then it is time for you to go online and find at least 3 of the dozens of websites that will let you quickly and easily find out how much your policy will cost from different insurance companies. You will find that there can be a considerable difference in price from one company to another.

Don't get lazy and just compare prices on one website. No website compares prices from all the different insurance companies, so if you want to insure that you are seeing the widest range of prices possible you will need to make your comparisons on at least 3 different websites.

But once you've done that then all you need to do is to choose the lowest price and you're done. You now know what to look for in a full coverage car insurance quote in New Jersey and you know how to find the best price for your coverage.

Miles credit cards getting the most out of a frequent flyer credit card

Airline miles credit cards are among the most popular types of rewards credit cards. However, only a handful of frequent flyer miles credit cards provide great rewards and value. The reason for this is quite simple: most airline specific credit cards charge astronomical annual fees and high interest rates. Now, if you travel often and spend more than $10,000 a year, just about any airline credit card will earn you miles. However, if you want to get free miles, airline flexibility, and save money on interest and annual fees, there are only four miles credit cards you should consider: The Miles Card from Discover, The Value Miles Platinum Visa Card, American Express Blue Sky and the Citi PremierPass. Here, we will examine all four cards. First, however, we will examine the average airline specific credit card.

The lure of the "average" airline specific frequent flyer credit card is the bonus mile offering. Who wouldn't want 15,000 miles? In addition to the substantial free miles offered, the average airline credit card also waives the annual fee during the first year. The combination of free miles and a no fee first year draws in many consumers. However, the initial perks are generally offset by the money it will cost to maintain your credit card after the first year. First, the average annual fee charged by these credit cards is $75. Ouch. And the average interest rate? More than 17%. Sure, you get a lot of miles upfront, but is it really worth paying 5% more in interest and a substantial annual fee? Not when there are much better offers available.

The Miles Card from Discover is a no annual fee airline rewards card that offers a 0% interest rate for 1 year, a low long term interest rate, and the opportunity to earn 1 mile for every dollar spent. The miles you earn can be redeemed on any airline with no blackout dates. Plus, you get 5,000 bonus miles when you make your first purchase. The interest rate on this credit card is over 6% less than that of the "average" frequent flyer card. Plus, you pay no interest on purchases or balance transfers for up to 1 year. Although you get 10,000 less miles, you'll probably end up with a lot more money to spend on traveling with this card than you would with the "average miles card."

The Chase Value Miles credit card is a no annual fee airline rewards card that allows you to fly on any airline with no blackout dates. They do not give away free miles, but they also don't charge an annual fee or a high interest rate. Like the Miles Card, the Value Miles card offers a 0% interest rate for up to 1 year and offers an interest rate that is 5.5% lower than than "average miles card." And, although the Value Miles Card does not offer any free miles, you can get a ticket to fly anywhere in the continental U. S. for only 24,000 miles. This is 5,000 to 10,000 miles less than the "average miles card" charges to get a free ticket. You don't get free miles, but your miles do have more value.

The Citi PremierPass offers two levels of airline rewards. The regular PremierPass MasterCard offers 5,000 free miles, charges no annual fee, and offers an interest rate that is 4.25% lower than the "average miles card." Additionally, you can earn 1 flightpoint for every three miles you fly on any airline with a ticket purchased with your card.

The Citi PremierPass also offers an elite level. Now, there is an annual fee of $75. However, you receive 15,000 bonus miles, earn 1 flightpoint for every single mile flown, and double miles on everyday purchases. The interest rate is still 4.25% less than the "average miles card," plus, this card offers a 0% interest rate for up 1 year.

The BlueSky credit card from American Express does not try to lure you in with free miles. Instead, they offer value. For every 7500 points earned, you receive $100 that can be used for any travel expense, including car rentals, hotels, online travel sites, and cruises. The value here is that every point you earn is worth 33% more than than the average point. Plus, you can use your rewards for all of your travel expenses, not just airline tickets. Additionally, this card offers a 0% interest rate for 6 months, charges no annual fee, and offers a low long term interest rate that is 5% lower than the "average miles card."

As you can see, airline credit cards offer a variety of perks at a variety of prices. For some, an "average miles credit card" with an annual fee of $75 and an interest rate over 17% might provide the best overall value. However, most credit card users will end up paying more money in interest and fees on their credit card than they would if they simply paid for their ticket in cash. The real value in frequent flyer credit cards can be found with the general miles credit cards that charge no fees, offer low interest rates, and offer more travel flexibility.

Mortgage terminology explained

When you first apply for a mortgage, you may feel you’ve stepped into a different culture with a language all its own. More than likely, your mortgage professional is throwing many new terms and expressions your way. It’s the responsibility of that same mortgage professional to make sure you understand everything that’s being explained to you, so you should never hesitate to ask them to stop and clarify. However, if you can approach your application meeting armed with some familiarity with mortgage terms, everyone can be more comfortable from the very beginning. Familiarize yourself with the following and you’ll be a step ahead of the average first-time borrower.

HUD: HUD stands for Housing and Urban Development, and refers to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Settlement Statement documents pertaining to the house being financed. When your loan officer talks about having you sign the HUD, they are referring to that settlement statement. The “HUD” will detail all payoff information, including any fees associated with your mortgage loan.

LTV and CLTV: LTV and CLTV stand for Loan to Value and Cumulative Loan to Value (or Combined Loan to Value). LTV refers to the percentage of the home’s value that is being financed. Thus an $80,000 loan for a $100,000 home constitutes 80% LTV. Higher LTV loans may carry higher interest rates and mortgage insurance than lower LTV loans. CLTV refers to the combined amount being financed between two loans for the same property. If the $100,000 home mentioned above has a first mortgage of $80,000 and a second mortgage of $20,000, the LTVs of those loans would be 80% and 20% respectively for a CLTV of 100%.

Designation 80/20: Designation 80/20 in the same line of thought, refers to the technique of obtaining 100% financing for a borrower without using a program that offers 100% in one loan. 80/20 refers to the percentage of the home that will be financed with each loan, 80% with the first mortgage and 20% with the second mortgage. 80/15s, 80/10s, and so on are also available and are options you should consider under the advisement of your loan officer or financial planner.

Stips: Stips are stipulations, and they are the requirements handed down by your lender and its underwriting department in order for your mortgage to be cleared to close. Common stips are copies of pay stubs, bank statements, and verifications of rent and employment.

VOR and VOE: VOR and VOE stand for Verification of Rent and Verification of Employment. Both may be required by your lender in order for your loan to be approved. Not all lenders and not all loans require either one of these.

HELOC: HELOC, while not something you will probably hear during your first mortgage experience, is one of the most common mortgage acronyms. It refers to a Home Equity Line of Credit, which is one option borrowers have for taking equity out of their homes. With a HELOC, borrowers can draw up to the full amount of the loan as many times as they choose, paying down all or part of the amount and drawing it back out again. In this way, a HELOC is a loan similar to a credit card, except that the interest paid on a HELOC is tax-deductible.

This is not a comprehensive list of the new terminology you may encounter when securing a mortgage, but familiarity with these terms will help you understand what your loan officer or financial planner is talking about when it comes time to finance a home.

The potentially dangerous side effects of steroids

You've been going to the gym everyday and working your butt off. You drink protein shakes, eat loads of chicken, and see some muscle gain. Your happy. Then you notice the new guy at gym is getting big real fast. He only started 3 months ago and he's putting on size like there's no tomorrow. What the???

Obviously he's on roids and your starting to wonder whether you should chuck in the towel or jump on the train. It's tempting. Why work so hard when you're only going to see mediocre results compared to the other guy.

Steroids obviously work, but are they worth it? And are they guaranteed?

The Technical Mumbo Jumbo:

Hundreds of distinct steroids have been identified in plant, animals, and fungi. The steroids associated with muscle growth are called anabolic steroids.

Anabolic steroids are a class of natural and synthetic steroid hormones that promote cell growth and division of tissue and bone. They not only effect muscle tissue but various other organs as well. Testosterone is the most potent natural anabolic steroid.

Testosterone is primarily secreted in the testicals of males and the ovaries of females. It is the principal male sex hormone. On average, the adult male body produces about twenty times the amount of testosterone of an adult female's body.

Testosterone naturally increases in males at puberty and causes these effects:

- Increased libido and erection frequency

- Pubic hair extends to thighs and up toward umbilicus

- Facial hair (sideburns, beard, mustache)

- Chest hair, periareolar hair, perianal hair

- Increased tendency for violence or aggressive

- Subcutaneous fat in face decreases

- Increased muscle strength and mass

- Deepening of voice

- Growth of the adam's apple

- Growth of spermatogenic tissue in testes, male fertility

- Growth of jaw, brow, chin, nose, and remodeling of facial bone contours

- Shoulders widen and rib cage expands

The Risks:

The side effects of using anabolic steroids vary depending on the type of drug, dosage, duration of use and individual sensitivity and response.

To be straight with you, there are more stories and myths about steroid effects than you can poke a stick at. But some of the more common and documented effects include severe acne, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, impotence, and mood swings.

So if you think you can handle that, then you're all set... Well, not really.

Besides the shrunken testicals, people who take large doses (like what's needed for muscle gain) can lose control of their emotions and become irritable and really aggressive. Little things can make them hysterically angry. This is what is called "roid rage".

A case study published in the Australian Medical Journal (165:222-26) reviewed the evidence concerning the effects of anabolic steroids on the mind.

The case centered on a 29-year-old bodybuilder who beat his wife to death using a weapon described as a claw hammer. While he committed this horrific act, his four children were in another part of the house. He then shot himself in the head. Before this incident, his home life had been described as ‘‘happy.’’

This man had used steroids off and on for years, and seven weeks before the murder, he had used a steroid stack consisting of Winstrol-V and sustanon, both injectable steroids. A later urine test showed that he also used Valium, a muscle relaxant and anti-anxiety drug.

This doesn't mean if you take steroids you are going to lose it and become an angry incredible hulk. But it definitely rings warning bells.

More Bad News - The problems don't stop when you stop taking roids either. People who use steroids can develop a dependence on them. That means they will go through withdrawal when they stop using. They can feel sick to their stomach, have headaches, sweat a lot, feel dizzy and be depressed.

Also, They are illegal - (In case you were wondering):

Steroids are legal for use by veterinarians and doctors but it is illegal to sell or buy them on the street. When steroids are sold on the street or in a gym, they are often mixed with other things which only increases your risks.

Steroids are also banned from amateur sports like the Olympics and most professional sports. Several Olympic athletes have lost their medals after they were tested and found to have used steroids to bulk up.

Are they Guaranteed:

Steroids are going to increase your muscle mass - Hands Down.

That doesn't necessarily mean your chest and biceps are going to pop out of your shirt first. There are some cases where users experienced very little gain on their chest and massive gain on their shoulders and traps. Who else wants to become the next hunchback? Not me.

Cure poor eyesight

People tend to think that better eyesight always relate to eye surgery or glasses. Eye surgery is very risky and could lead to irreversible damage. Glasses maintains vision problem and do nothing in order to cure it. Yet, there are healthy natural treatments which cure poor eyesight symptoms. The only problem is that these methods are being hidden and disregarded by doctors and optometrists who wish people will continue to buy glasses and risk their eyes with laser eye surgeries. It is better to avoid the risks and try these basic simple exercises first. They could improve your eye vision dramatically.

Eye chart

Its purpose is to exercise the eye to a healthy behavior of shifting instead of central fixation. Hang the eye chart and move to a distance where you can read the first 4 lines. Look at the first letter carefully close your eyes and try to visualize it in your imagination. Try to create a clear picture of it. Instead of static letter try imagining it slowly swinging. Repeat this with the rest of the letters in the four first lines you can read.

Covering

This is a very important exercise. People think that their eyes rest when they sleep. Actually, on the dreaming stage they keep moving and work as if the person is a wake.

Therefore, proper resting is crucial. For best performance you need a quite and comfortable place like your favorite couch. Cover your eyes with your hands, and try to feel as pleasant as you can. Listen to the music you like best, or try to imagine your favorite view. The eyes need about 10-15 minutes to reach full relaxation, the longer the better. It is recommended, to perform it daily for 15 minutes or a few times a day for 5 minutes.

Reading

Reading is a very important task for the eyes as it is performed on daily basis. It is important to adjust natural way of reading which will reduce eye tension and will educate the eyes for better, healthy vision habits. Healthy eyes read a sentence by focusing on each letter and then moving to the next one. A tensed eye will jump from word to word and will try to read the complete sentence in a few eye glances. Reading large areas instead of focusing on central vision, letter by letter, lead to increased eye tension. It is best to move slowly from letter to letter as a practice. At the end of each page focus on a point a few meters a way. This will ease the tension on the eyes from the reading.

Tiny writing

This exercise requires the eye to use its central vision. The eyes and the mind should be very relaxed to avoid over pressure on the eye when reading the tiny writing. Get text and print it from and word processor in size 4 or 3. It should be black text on a white paper. Hold it against your eyes and read it in a slow and relaxed mode. Make sure you keep blinking often and look at a distanced point once in a while.

Physical exercises

It is important to understand that the aim of these exercises is to make eyes muscles more elastic and avoid tension. First try to feel your eyes: are they tensed? If so try to feel exactly where, and relax that area. Look at an object not far from you, and move your eyes: ten times up and down and ten times left to right, then in circles for 5 times. Take a piece of paper with a dot at its top edge. Bring it as close as 5 CM from your nose and then move it away as far as you can. Concentrate on the dot all time, do it for about tem times. Hold the piece of paper close to your nose, look at for a few seconds and then look at a distant point for a few seconds. Again do it for ten times.

Choosing home window security bars

Choosing Home Window Security Bars

Home security window bars come in three styles: fixed, hinged and removable. Choosing the right style is a matter of use. Saw-resistance and tamper resistant hardware are additional considerations.

Fixed home window security bars do not open. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and are usually the most economical style. Home and business owners can choose from basic designs, decorative styles or even elaborate luxury styles.

Hinged or swing away home window security bars swing open for repair and cleaning. They can be padlock secured and are available in a variety of sizes. Mr. Goodbar tm Keyless Quick Release Locking System is appropriate for secondary escape routes.

Home or business owners who need to comply with local fire and building codes for secondary escapes can use these bars.

Removable window bars lock on both sides, allowing easy removal. They're good for vacation cabins, storefronts or anywhere periodical protection is required. They are available in a variety of sizes.

Home window security bars are available for safety and for security. The purpose of the bars helps determine the appropriate style.

Child safety and security window bars and guards are available in standard sizes to fit most window openings. They provide quick installation, require no special ordering or fitting, and feature safety releases for quick removal.

Parents, grandparents, and anyone concerned with preventing small children or pets from falling out windows can find peace of mind in the installation of these home window security bars.

The first step in choosing home window security bars is to determining use. Will the bars be used for safety purposes (to keep children and pets from exiting windows) or is security the aim (deter and prevent burglary or home intrusion)?

Once purpose is determined, window style is an important consideration when seeking to add home window security bars. Typical window styles include double-hung, single-hung, casement and sliding. Home owners will need this information when preparing to purchase or order bars.

After confirming window style, window size is required. The measurement required for home window security bars is the dimensions of the window opening. The window opening is the space inside the window frame.

Be sure to note how many windows will require bars and the correct window opening size for each.

Home window security bars are available from many stores and companies. They're also available online via stores and auction sites. Home or business owners who are going to install the bars themselves can purchase materials from any reputable provider.

Not all home window security bars are created equal. Bars should be constructed of saw-resistant, sturdy materials. A bar that can easily be bent, broken, sawed or removed is not providing adequate safety.

Home and business owners who prefer to pay a home security window bar company to fit and install all windows will need to choose a reputable company. The company shouldn't mind providing references or even the names and phone numbers of satisfied customers.

Home window security bars give home and business owners an added layer of protection.

The throat, brow, and crown chakras

The Throat, Brow, and Crown Chakras

The Throat chakra correlates to that part of the mind that expresses and communicates. It can be any form of communication that the person is comfortable doing – Art, music, painting, sculpture, and poetry. This chakra also encourages listening to one's own intuition and following the voice that leads you. After a while, you will the Universe supporting you in all that you do. Parts of the body associated with this chakra are throat, shoulders, arms, and hands. The color associatedwith this chakra is Sky Blue.

The Brow chakra is associated with the spiritual view and the Being within. This is also the unconscious mind that directs our actions and our life. The element here is the Inner Sound. This is listening to your own self without the outside physical world involved. The color associated here is Lapis Lazuli.

The Crown chakra is mostly concerned with unity or separation issues. This is our root with our father. Not just our earthly father, but our Heavenly Father is included also. If there is tension in the head, that means that there is some form of tension in a specific part of the conscious mind. The person may feel like they are hiding from everyone and not seeing what is truly in their soul. This is the most hardest part to clarify. Accepting the truth about one's situation can be mind-reeling until that mind can take time to meditate on th issue and finally accept it. If doing what made all of us happy worked, it would be a great life. The counter here is if we continue to do something that makes us unhappy, it can become a matter of our health becoming worse. The color that goes with this chakra is Violet.

The airplane as your office

The Airplane as Your Office

Business travel very often involves long hours in flight to the city where your work will be done. For most business people, this is lost productivity time that can be torture if you cannot get work done in flight. How often have you said to yourself or to a coworker, “That’s all right, I will just work on that on the airplane.” That is a noble intent but circumstances inside an airplane cabin, especially in coach, can make the fulfillment of that commitment hard to accomplish.

Like anything else, if you are going to redeem the time while you are in the air, you should come prepared with an agenda of work you can get done in that setting and with your expectations well in check before you even check in. Let’s face it, the cabin of a domestic airplane is not designed for business productivity. You may have a myriad of distractions from crying babies to a talkative neighbor. The airline personnel have quite an agenda of items to interrupt your time with and then there is the turbulence and the narrow seats that dictate that whatever you are going to get done is going have to be done in a place of very little space availability.

To expect that you will have the seat next to you to spread out your work or that this will be the flight of perfect peace and quiet is to set yourself up for frustration and disappointment. So to be prepared to achieve some level of productivity on an airplane, be aware of these limitations and design your work so you can use that time within those constraints, not in spite of them.

A basic necessity to use to realize some level of concentration in flight is a good set of ear plugs or an earphone and an ipod. You can use that device to pipe music to your mind that can be conducive to concentration and thought. Now earphones sufficient to block out the kind of distractions you will encounter on an airplane will have to be pretty sophisticated. So don’t cut corners on this purchase. It will pay you back over and over as you use them to block out surface noise in airplane cabin.

The best way to walk off of that airplane with a sense of accomplishment is to set your goals before you board and make them goals you can attain. You cannot expect to be able to open up your laptop and work peacefully in coach. It is very possible you will be able to do that but you may find turbulence, an active population around you or other factors may make such work very difficult to do. So to be sure, prepare a project to work on using your laptop but don’t be disappointed if it turns out to be too difficult to attempt. And above all avoid having a deadline you have to hit using the time during your flight to make up for lost time on your deadlines. That will only make the flight frustrating and result in an angry and worn out business traveler.

The best form of work you can assign to yourself is analysis or reading. If you have a document or some documents to review, the confines of an airplane seat accommodate that work just fine. Business reading is easily the best form of work to do in flight. Using those head phones to block out the world, you can lay back with a book, a business magazine or a report and take your time to study it or read lengthy blocks of that material during a long flight. In a two to three hour flight, you can read entire chapters of a business book and come off the flight with a tremendous amount of food for thought to take into your businesses meetings at your destination.

It is possible to redeem the time in the air by accomplishing some solid work. But the key to getting success at that goal is to be realistic about what can be done in an airplane seat and tailoring your expectations and goals accordingly. If you do that, you will be happy with how you used the time and the flight will go by much more quickly as well.

Snow pants 24

Snow Pants

If there is one thing that I remember from playing outside in the winter months was the huge snow pants that I had to wear when I went out. If I skipped them and just went outside in my jeans, I would be frozen, wet, and cold in a matter of minutes and would have to go back in the house to change. Though they were often cumbersome, I did get used to them, and they allowed me to play outside until my toes were frozen and I was forced to come into the house.

Today’s snow pants are a little better, though many of them still have the bulk that I remember from my childhood. It is far better to battle the bulk than to be wet and cold though, and most kids will adapt to them rather quickly. When I first put snow pants on my daughter, I remember laughing because she could barely move, let alone walk at first. However, she soon got over it because there was a whole yard of freshly fallen show she just had to explore. I wish sometimes that I were as adaptable as she seems to be.

There are newer, thinner types of snow pants you can buy, and there are also some that will keep you warm no matter what you are doing. If you look for snow pants that are made for sports such as snowmobiling or hunting, you are going to find the warmest snow pants that you can buy. If it is not that cold, you may even find that they are too warm for your liking. You can also find decent ones if you shop at a good store, and don’t forget to get good boots to go with them. Sometimes the boots make all the difference between wet legs and warm legs.

You can get your snow pants in two different ways. You can get two-piece suits so the coat comes off separate from the pants, or you can get a one piece. It’s a personal preference really, as both kinds work rather well. If you are a child though, the snow pants might be better if they come attached in one piece. That makes it harder for snow to come in between the layers and get onto your child’s skin. Children are rough, and they like to roll around in the snow, so get some snow pants that you know will keep them warm and dry for as long as they need.

Chlamydia how not to get chlamydia a std

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It is a silent disease because the symptoms appear very late in some people. They may not be aware that they have Chlamydia. A bacterium causes this infection. A partner sexually passes this bacterium to another partner. The question is - how to enjoy relationships without contacting Chlamydia which is dangerous if allowed to progress? Let me tell you how.

Chlamydia - how it is passed?

Look inside your mouth and observe the skin inside. It looks different from your body skin, is it not so? This skin inside the mouth is called mucous membrane. The same kind of membrane covers your inner genitals and anal cavity. When this mucous membrane comes in contact with any secretion of a Chlamydia patient, he/she will get infected. The clue lies in preventing the mucous membrane coming in contact with any secretions of the affected person.

Chlamydia - what will you do to prevent it?

Let us take a real life example. Suppose you have a new partner and are not sure about the health. What would you do to prevent getting Chlamydia if your partner is a carrier? Don't allow any contact between the mucous membranes. Therefore avoid all kinds of oral sex. Kissing will also spread Chlamydia. Avoid it in the beginning. Involve only in sex protected by condom. Nothing else. After sometime, you may ask your partner if he/she has been tested for Chlamydia and know about the status. If you have not got yourself screened, it is time to meet a doctor and get the test done. It is a very simple test and will also tell you about other STDs.

Chlamydia can cause many complications if it is not treated in the early stages. Please look for these symptoms if you have had unprotected sex or sex with a partner whose status you do not know. The common symptoms of Chlamydia are - difficult and painful urination, discharge from penis or vagina, pain in the lower abdomen, pain in intercourse in women, pain or swelling in men. If you notice any of these signs, please contact your doctor without any delay. A course of antibiotics normally clears the infection in two weeks. Ask your partner to get treated as well. Otherwise you will get infected once more. Use condoms. Avoid having multiple sexual partners. Women should not douche. Douching increases the possibility of getting Chlamydia.

I've been trading stocks for years, working to maximize the potential of the small amount of money I have saved over my career. When all things are considered, Professional Power Trading is the best program around to make you money. I highly recommend taking a look at the book on your own and trying the system out for yourself. Professional Power Trading can really make you more money than you ever imagined.

Got hd it s the next big thing in radio pure crystal clear sound and it s free

HD Radio technology is the next big thing because it makes it makes FM stations sound nearly as good as if you were listening to a CD. The sound is just amazing – clean, pure and crystal-clear. It even enables AM stations to sound as good as an FM station today.

Let’s pretend you’re a sports talk radio fan. Just imagine how much better your experience will be when there’s no distortion, no annoying hiss, crackle, fade or static. It will be just like listening to your favorite AM station broadcast in FM.

And if music is your thing, you’ll love HD Radio technology even more because you’ll be able to hear music on your favorite classic or rock station in the clearest, cleanest, purest form ever available over the airways and, best of all, it’s free. All you have to do is buy a new radio.

In fact, this technology even makes it possible for your local stations to broadcast in true 5.1 surround sound. Just imagine that. You turn on your favorite music station and you are immediately surrounded by sound -- just as if you were sitting in your favorite concert hall.

HD Radio technology also makes possible something called multicasting that allows stations to broadcast two or more different signals simultaneously. So, your favorite oldies stations could be broadcasting music from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s – all at the same time!

More than 500 stations are already broadcasting in HD Radio technology. And HD radios are available for both the home and car.

So far, radio stations have not done much publicity on this exciting, new form of broadcasting but you can bet that will be changing in the near future.

Where to take a guided kayaking tour in san diego

Where to Take a Guided Kayaking Tour in San Diego

Take a look around the city of San Diego, and you're likely to see everyone getting around on bike or by trolley. While it's true that San Diego is full of sites and attractions, very few people realize that it's also an ideal location to experience some great kayaking. In fact, some of the best scenery of San Diego is only seen from the water, and kayaking is an excellent way to take in all of the sights and sounds of this "big little city".

Start your kayaking adventure in San Diego by taking a tour of the La Jolla Sea Caves. While it sounds like it may be an intimidating experience, it's actually a very pleasant and fun outdoor adventure! Beginning at the La Jolla Shores, you can paddle your way through an outdoor paradise while you view areas of San Diego's coast. Before reaching the historical sea caves, you'll have a chance to get up close and personal with sea lions, stingrays, and other aquatic life that reside within these canals. In fact, it's even said that harbor seals sit perched among the rocks of the water and "wave" at their visitors who pass by!

However, kayaking in San Diego is just as fun in the fall and winter as it is in the summer. Winter is known to be a season of hibernation and mating, and that's exactly what you'll find as you explore Baja's Pacific Coast! During the colder seasons, gray whales leave their homeland of the Arctic Ocean and make their way to the inviting warmth of Baja. In the months of December and January, the whales mate and give birth. Take advantage of a guided tour from La Jolla Shores during this time, and experience the thrill of viewing these amazing animals in person.

If you plan to visit San Diego with small children, there are opportunities for them to experience the fun of kayaking as well. In areas of Monterey and Elkhorn Slough, there are very calm and tranquil waters that are perfect for children and families. Monterey

Bay offers fascinating history and abundant marine life, while Elkhorn Slough is an excellent kayaking route for the nature and wildlife lover. (Often, you can spot several breeds of exotic birds.) The children will love the feeling of paddling through the water on a boat, and adults will enjoy the quiet ride while taking in some sightseeing.

If you've ever dreamed of catching the biggest fish among your friends and family, then look into opportunities for kayak fishing around Monterey Bay. While this area is known for its calm and peaceful surroundings, it is also home to some of California's best fishing. There are several classes offered in the area and guided tours and trips directed towards kayak fishing.

With so many amazing opportunities for kayaking in San Diego, you are sure to find the water adventure that's right for you and your family!

Silver spoon recognition

Toby Miller is your picture of an all round good guy. He doesn't even consider himself to be much of a star but he does enjoy going to work and he enjoys mixing with his co-workers, making sure that they all smile at least once a day. Of course he does what's necessary to get results but, under normal circumstances, he usually slips under the recognition awards radar that sweeps through the department once a month.

Many reward and recognition systems have incorporated a "wooden spoon" award in the past. The purpose of this was to highlight poor performance in the mistaken belief that it would, somehow, act as a deterrent to people. They were supposed to look upon the wooden spoon as a shameful emblem that they would want to avoid at any cost. Unfortunately this overlooks the deep psychological reasoning for poor performance in the workplace.

Some people live troubled lives. They find it difficult to excel at anything they do. This does not prevent them from wishing that the limelight would fall on them occasionally. They discover that they can get the attention that they crave by underperforming. Many management hours around the world are spent chastising people for poor performance and attempting to get them to raise their game.

The "wooden spoon" actually acts as a spotlight for these people. It is a mechanism that they can manipulate by doing their job badly. In one company they would award "pig of the week" to the messiest and most disorganized worker in the team. The award was a small stuffed pig that people would place in a prominent position on their desk. The result of the "pig of the week" award was that an informal competition began in the office. Rather than an embarrassment, "pig of the week" became a cult award that everyone wanted to win and so, rather than raise the level of tidiness and organization in the office; it actually increased the chaos in which people worked.

A much more constructive award is the "Silver Spoon Award". It is designed to encourage people who may not yet be the best role-models in the company and whose performance may actually be well below what is considered excellent but who nevertheless deserve some sort of recognition for the work they have put in, for their attitude to the job, for their ability to motivate their colleagues or just for their ability to make people laugh and enjoy being at work. In a way the "Silver Spoon Award" is designed to capture the "Most Improved" and the "Best Fun" categories.

The award itself can be imaginary or virtual but, equally, a simple silver teaspoon mounted on a hardwood block which is passed from person to person at the beginning of each award period adds a touch of tangibility to winning.

Under the new award system, Toby Miller's sense of humor can be recognized without denying others the accolade for best salesman, most creative designer, most efficient assembler.

Four indicators to watch when outsourcing during a recession

When making decisions about IT offshore outsourcing, the state of the U. S. economy looms large. The effect of exchange rates, interest rates, IT employment levels and even domestic commercial office vacancy rates will affect your onshore, offshore or nearshore strategy. America is growing more and more dependent on lower cost offshore services. So what is an offshoring decision-maker to do about controlling cost in this U. S. economic downturn? That depends on how the economic cycle affects your business. Because consumer spending leads the economy up and down, recent weakness at Tiffney and Target suggests both ends of the consumer spectrum are being affected, so we may be early in the cycle. In his article “Understanding the Economy” (Inc. Magazine in December 2007) Joseph H. Ellis says, “People worry that a recession is coming. But buy the time one arrives, most economic harm has already happened.” He says don’t be afraid to do your own economic detective work. You may gain a new perspective in cyclical patterns and cause-and-effect relationships you didn’t realize existed. Here are four indicators to consider.

Exchange rates: Analyses of major IT software outsourcing destinations reveals that most of their currencies appreciated against the US dollar substantially. This resulted in either a higher cost for clients or lower earnings for offshore providers. In a country like India that claims 70 percent of the international business process outsourcing market, the Indian Rupee gained about 11% on the dollar from an average exchange rate of 44.21 Rupees per dollar in January 2007 to a monthly average of 39.37 in December of 2007. Currencies in nearshore outsourcing destinations like Canada and Brazil also saw a sharp appreciation against the dollar of 15% and 16% respectively from January to December 2007. This represents increased cost to you the buyer or lost revenue to the outsourcer. When reviewing your outsourcing strategy, currency exchange rate risk is something both parties to the agreement need to discuss and not just hope for the best.

Interest rates: Rates can go up, down, or stay the same. Sometimes we overlook the basics. The Federal Reserve seems to be trying to keep interest rates artificially low but that is exacerbating the dollar’s decline. The results are always inflationary. Should they fight inflation, interest rates will increase and this will raise the dollar. If you need capital, time may be running out on low cost borrowing even if you can get it. Keep cash at the short end of the yield curve to protect against eventual higher rates. When reviewing your strategy keep in mind that if the government’s adjustment to interest rates strengthens the dollar, your offshore services will get cheaper, however, if you use short-term borrowing to make payroll, your cost of onsite services will surely rise.

IT employment: According to the U. S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistic’s, computer software engineers are one of the occupations projected to grow the fastest and add the most new jobs from 2006-2016. Employment levels for computer professionals are currently at one of the highest points in recorded history with un-employment in this profession reported at around just 2%. It is possible that outsourcing to other countries may somewhat temper this employment growth. Many firms will cut cost by outsourcing to foreign countries that have lower prevailing wages and highly educated workers. However, high quality jobs in software engineering require computer professionals with strong programming skills, systems analysis and interpersonal skills. Therefore rising wage pressure will become a long-term strategic issue, whether you are attempting to staff professionals domestically in a job market at near full employment or you are attempting to staff offshore where experienced professionals are demanding higher wages in their currencies against a weaker trending dollar.

Office space: IT staff augmentation requires additional office space somewhere. On the first Monday of 2008, real estate research firm Reis reported that U. S. office vacancy rates rose for the first time in four years. Completions rose to 19.6 million square feet in the forth quarter, the highest level in almost seven years vs. 8 to 12 million over the last couple of years. This is the first time since the forth quarter of 2004 that effective rent growth has fallen short of asking rent growth and concessions have widened. In this market it might be cheaper than ever to lease additional office space for an expanding IT services and development team. But facilities are always a part of the cost equation. When developing an offshore vs. onshore strategy look at all your cost including facilities, utilities, network access, and other costs associated with housing a large or small team. Some emerging markets like Panama have an excellent infrastructure and government policies that are designed to encourage technology businesses to use facilities there.

No matter where you are in the cycle, cutting costs and improving quality is always a goal. Outsourcing can help you to reach that objective. There is a clear growing trend for companies, regardless of their size and industry, to outsource an element of their business. George Schildge, president of CEO of Matrix Marketing Group Inc. believes outsourcing is not a passing fad but clearly a paradigm shift that can change a business model for the better. Two themes for software development trends in 2008, according to SearchSoftwareQuality. com, are that outsourcing will continue to effect more people and business analysts and project managers will need to learn how to face the challenges of distribution across countries and continents. Bas de Baar, project manager and author of “Surprise! Now You’re a Software Project Manager” says Different cultures, different time zones different languages, different customs will impact software projects more than in previous years.

Profiting this year will require different strategies. Outsourcing will become a bigger part of the equation so do your homework now and act to stay ahead of the curve.

Unemployed debt consolidation dissolving twin burden of unemployment and debt

Okay, did you wish on the fairy godmother to take away debts? You are doubtful if it will work – especially when you are unemployed. You are certainly not happy with the current circumstances. You want to work, have the ability to pay your own bills. Everyone wants that freedom and control. Debt consolidation for unemployed can enable the borrower to do exactly that - pay your bills! Unemployed debt consolidation is meant to work when debt numerology has exceeded the number two.

An unemployed will need debt consolidation when they are struggling to pay two or more debts. Unemployed debt consolidation loans are a logical way to manage debts.

Debt consolidation loans will combine these debts into single consolidated loan. This procedure will always carry lowering of interest rates. This means that the cumulated interest rates that you pay on your various loans will be higher than the interest rate on debt consolidation loans.

There will be only one monthly payment instead of many pays for all the unpaid debts. Lowering in interest rates many times lead to lowering of monthly payments. Thus, Debt consolidation for unemployed will generate extra cash every month. An unemployed should not always see lowering in monthly payments as an obvious pattern with debt consolidation. This is so because depending on repayment plan monthly payments may or may not reduced.

Lowering in interest rates will mean saving money in the long run. Saving money would imply raising capital which the unemployed can put to many good uses.

Henceforth, the unemployed debt consolidation lender negotiates and deals with your lenders. It takes away all the harassment that an unemployed might be facing for repayment.

One consolidated loan makes debt condition manageable. You have just to take care of one debt every month leaving you to free to make other financial decisions.

Debt consolidation unemployed is possible with or without collateral. Collateral is security pledged for the repayment of the loan. Not every unemployed will have a security to place. For unemployed tenants unsecured debt consolidation will negate the need for security. This loan type however is open to homeowner also. Many unemployed homeowners would not want to place their home as collateral during their period of unemployment. They can also apply for unsecured debt consolidation.

Secured unemployed debt consolidation will have advantages in the form of comparatively lower interest rates. Repayment terms will be flexible with the ability to borrow more. For amounts from Ј5000-Ј25,000 an unemployed will find unsecured debt consolidation more suitable. With amounts ranging from Ј25,000-Ј75,000 an unemployed will find better options with secured debt consolidation.

Debt consolidation seems like a magical cure for unemployed. But there are few debt consolidation mistakes which can make this decision prove adverse for an unemployed. Take care to choose you debt counselor or negotiator. They may claim high and mighty to an unemployed but they are not always there to help you. A counselor who promises to reduce your debt or reduce monthly payments to half are working for their own good rather than yours. Unemployed debt consolidation will not reduce your debts.

Like any other loan, unemployed will have to search for the debt consolidation loan that suits their circumstances. Loan lenders offering debt consolidation for unemployed offer great flexibility keeping in mind the unemployed condition. Short repayment terms, discounts, stand-by facility, holiday period, overdraft etc. are few of the benefits. A good debt consolidation lender will negotiate with previous lenders on the behalf of the unemployed. Ask for quote, redemption fees and check for any hidden fee.

Consolidating high interest rate loan into single loan at lower rates makes a whole lot of sense. But never leave sight of the real overall objective to save money, speed up the process of repayment and above all to become debt free! An unemployed should look for debt consolidation with the resolve not to go back to such a condition where he or she will need debt consolidation again. That will itself be a success. So when wished from the fairy godmother to make your debts vanish – it worked. Your wish started to work the moment you decided for unemployed debt consolidation.

Indian real estate transforming amritsar

:
Amritsar Real Estate: From Sacred City to Hip & Happening

People crossing over from Wagah into India will soon be subjected to the razzle dazzle of Amritsar as real estate developers plan to pump in big money to make the city a rival for the golden glitter of the Golden Temple.

Delhi based realtors of repute have added a spurt to real estate activity in the sacred city of the Sikhs by building malls, multiplexes, villas, luxury apartments and penthouses. Further, the Government of Punjab’s plans to set up special economic zones (SEZs) has triggered the interest of the builders and developers, alike. Yogesh Verma, DLF Universal’s Managing Director says: “If not the best in the world, then definitely the idea is to make Amritsar the best city in the country.”

Just the same way as they transformed Gurgaon, these developers plan to wreak their magic on Amritsar, changing it from a city with an ancient past and glorious history to the most hip and happening Indian town. “This would also boost tourism and provide better connectivity with the Wagah border.” Verma adds. Religious tourism and an international airport should have seen the city develop much earlier, but that did not happen despite its potential.

That will all change as the DLF group plans to bring global standard infrastructure in the 1,100 SEZ, investing approximately Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000-crores in the border city. Verma affirms DLF will spend Rs. 800-crores alone in upgrading the infrastructure to international standards. With the SEZ project already underway, the development will take place in four segments, including textile and garments, engineering, food processing and free trade zone.

With 35-million sq. ft. of development underway, and plans to invest more than Rs. 10,000-crore in various cities of Punjab, undoubtedly DLF will change the very face of Apna Punjab. The 2,500-acre SEZ between Ludhiana and Jullunder will be home to state of the art housing, infrastructure, industrial and retail sectors, with its own captive power generation. And, DLF is not restricting itself to Amritsar alone; it has active plans to move on to real estate development in Chandigarh and other Punjabi cities.

Apart from DLF, there are numerous other builders that have evinced an interest in giving Punjab and nearby Haryana a shake-up, dust-up and image makeover. Advance India Projects Ltd., Omaxe, Today Home and Infrastructure, MBD group, Dynamic and Continental etc. all have their eye on Punjab, as they busily plan a dozen malls in the region, while Clarion brings English country style living to rural Punjab, building sprawling luxurious bungalows and buildings reminiscent of an English country town.

Ansals building a township in Kundli, Haryana has similar projects planned for Mohali, Jullunder, Bhatinda and Chandigarh. While, the Punjab government has given the go ahead to eight of their ten projects, the remaining two will also shortly be sanctioned by Punjab’s babudom. And, DLF’s group housing and township project with an investment of Rs. 1,000-crore has also passed muster from the Punjab government, with plans to build a mall each for Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Mohali, Chandigarh, and Jullunder. Commenting on DLF’s sudden surge of interest in Punjab, Verma said: “The state is ripe for real estate and infrastructure development. DLF has the best credentials for this. We are keen on making heavy investments in the state.”

As the real estate developers give Punjab a complete makeover, it is to be hoped Apna Punjab will still be recognisable even as rural villages get transformed with a lick of high gloss and spit and polish of metro cities. It is to be hoped there will still be a place for the rehriwallah and the many others, who add colour and make interesting the landscape of India. A landscape that is so different from the bland, boringness of the western cities, all rigid planning, so very organised that one screams for just a little imperfection, just a little waywardness, just some more character and colour, so typical of a city in India. Cities that express the contrast between two cultures, the west so cold of temperament and lacking emotion, not knowing how to think from the heart; the other all chaotic emotion and random freedom of expression, everything analysed and tinged with the emotions of the heart.

Buying paintings minimalism

Buying Paintings: Minimalism

Though I could enjoy speaking on the topic of art for sometime, I found myself without a way to truly understand the differing values in the ways of thought that permeate this grouping of human experience, and found myself looking to sources over the Internet to further my knowledge to utilize the information gathered to purchase paintings. I have always been interested in the passions evoked by the series of artists and movements that proliferate what we have come to know as the history of art. Reflecting on this notion of life’s passing interaction whether Romanticist, Surrealist, or Minimalist in nature.

Speaking on Minimalism now, the ideas that made this movement unique relied heavily upon the work being stripped down to the barest fundamental aspects, and laying bare those integral parts of self-expression. Many pieces of work other than visual art has been affected by these ideals of minimalism, and acted outside of this particular aesthetic appeal, creating new ways to interpret literature and even lifestyles. As far as painting goes, however, the minimalist paintings will typically use limited color schemes and simple geometric designs. Minimalist sculpture is focused on the materials used.

Some of the phases commonly agreed on about this movement are each notable for how they have progressed the overall conception of minimalism as a movement. A distillation in forms was the first phase, with contributors claiming in order to create a universal language of art that masses were meant to understand easily, and seemed poised to support the rapid industrialization for particular settings of the time. Searching for a purity of form, and paving the way for the abstractions to come later on, allowing for the second more notable phase to reach its’ crescendo afterwards.

Much of the formats for commercial artwork we see today have had a great deal of background in this movement of visual art, allowing us to understand on a fundamental level what the message is that the work is trying to convey, and a large amount of the signs and signals we find today relies heavily upon these ideals to translate a universal meaning to the general populace. We can easily see the progression of minimalism in these examples of the world over, and it almost as ingrained into our society now as much as we care to see.

A minimalist painting will typically use a very limited amount of colors and have a very simplistic geometric design. Minimalism in sculpture, on the other hand, is much more concerned with the materials used. Many people believe that minimalism in generally is about geometric shapes, but this interpretation depends widely on the branch of art as well as the interpreter.

But the simplest way to describe minimalism is that the less that is in the painting or work of art, the better it is. Minimalism is all about drawing attention to the few objects and colors of the composition. In this way minimalism shows us that less is better, for the eye is not drawn away by this of that filler or extra objects.

Minimalism is about starting with nothing and then carefully applying the few objects and colors that will define the piece as a whole. Minimalism is still one of the major parts of contemporary art, but it is used I conjunction with other styles and flairs from other art movements to form new types of minimalism.
